Discover Wisconsin 2027

I am Honored to say that I entered this in the Discover Wisconsin photo contest. For 2027 Calendar and on 8-20-2026.

I was emailed that out of 500 plus Contenders that this particular image has been chosen for The Discover Wisconsin Calendar. For 2027 it will be on the month of June.

This composition is Lower Potato Falls County Park. It's Located in Gurney Wisconsin, in Iron County. I had taken this on October the 8th of 2025. It was 30 degrees that day. It was well worth the trip to Potato Falls County Park. I was adding more compositions for my website.

I was using a Minolta Maxxum 9 and Kodak Ektar Color film, all of my Artwork is 100% original and never digitally altered. It was a experience of a lifetime I have to say. It was my second time ever at Potato Falls CountyPark Wisconsin. I have seen that other photos of Potato Falls that was taken from below the observation platform.

So I figured that I would go and take some compositions at the bottom of the Rivers edge of Potato Falls. There is 205+ steps to the bottom it's very steep stairs to the last platform. Then you can go down the trail to go to Potato River and cross the River to get to the Falls. The trail I took was the wrong trail it was an learning experience for sure but Waterfall Photography is something I do.

And I Love Photographing Waterfalls and Landscapes that God has Created for us all to see. Even if it's a print of some sort. I have been doing Waterfall Photography for 30 years. And won multiple awards based on my Artwork and Photography skills.
